This Privacy Policy explains how Aivency ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our competitive intelligence service (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, company name, password (hashed) when you sign up.
- Business data you provide: your website URL, business type, and the competitors you choose to track.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never store your card details.
- Usage data: log data, device info, and interactions with the product to improve reliability and security.
2. How we use your information
- To generate competitive intelligence reports tailored to your business.
- To send you product emails (weekly reports, account notifications).
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
3. Public competitor data
To produce reports, Aivency monitors publicly available sources (websites, news, social media, job postings) about the competitors you list. We do not access private or paywalled content.
4. AI processing
We use AI models to analyze public signals and generate insights. Your business inputs and competitor lists may be sent to trusted AI providers (e.g., Google, OpenAI) under their data processing terms. We do not allow them to train models on your data.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: payment processors (Stripe), email providers (Resend), AI providers, and infrastructure providers, strictly to operate the Service.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and report data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, after which we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, role-based access, and row-level security. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and notify us of any suspected breach.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to processing. Contact us at hello@aivency.app to exercise them.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. We rely on standard contractual clauses where required.
